Tournament Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility & Entry
Entry is open to junior golfers in the age categories published on this page. A player's age category is determined by their age on the day of the event. The academy reserves the right to refuse or withdraw any entry. All players must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the day of the event.
2. Entry Fee & Payment
The entry fee is determined by the player's assigned age category and is payable before the event date. A place is only confirmed once payment is received. Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit and include course access and competition administration.
3. Refund & Withdrawal
Withdrawals made more than 7 days before the event will receive a 50% refund. Withdrawals within 7 days of the event are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation by the academy, a full refund will be issued.
4. Format & Rules of Golf
All events are played under the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A and any local rules in force at the host course. The US Kids Golf age-based yardage format applies. Disputes are settled by the tournament committee, whose decision is final.
5. Code of Conduct
Players, parents and caddies are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship and respect. Abusive language, damage to the course or equipment, or unsporting behaviour may result in disqualification without refund.
6. Liability & Risk
Participation is at the player's own risk. The academy, its staff, the host course and their representatives accept no liability for personal injury, loss or damage to property arising from participation in any event. Players are strongly advised to carry personal insurance.
7. Weather & Cancellation
Events will proceed in light rain. In the event of dangerous weather, the committee may suspend or cancel play. Where an event is cancelled before any play, a full refund will be issued. Where an event is cancelled after play has begun, no refund is due.
8. Photography & Media
By entering, players and parents acknowledge that the academy may capture photographs and video during events for coaching, promotional and social media purposes. A separate photography opt-in is provided on the sign-up form.
9. Data & Privacy
Personal details provided on the sign-up form are used solely for tournament administration and academy communications, and are handled in line with our privacy policy.
10. Amendments
The academy reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. The version current on the sign-up page at the time of entry applies.
Caddie Rules & Regulations
Who May Caddie
Only a parent, guardian or an adult authorised by the parent may caddie. Caddies must be 18 years or older. No player may caddie for another player.
Dress Code
Caddies must be neatly dressed in keeping with the host course's standard. Denim, singlets and open-toed shoes are not permitted. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not allowed on the bag or in the caddie role.
No Coaching or Advice
Caddies may carry the bag, hand clubs, rake bunkers, tend the flag and assist with pace of play. Caddies must not give advice on club selection, line of play, reading greens or swing technique. Repeated breaches will result in the caddie being removed from the course.
Pace of Play
Caddies must help the group keep pace with the field. Be ready at the tee, move promptly between shots, and keep up with the group ahead. Slow-play penalties may be applied to the player at the committee's discretion.
Respect for the Course
Caddies must repair divots, ball marks and bunker damage, and ensure the bag stand does not damage the green or fringe. Do not place bags on tees or greens.
Behaviour
Caddies must remain quiet during all strokes, stand clear of the line of play, and avoid any conduct that could distract another player. Mobile phones must be on silent.
Scoring
The caddie may assist the player in checking scores at each hole, but the player remains responsible for the correctness of their scorecard. The card must be checked and signed at the scoring table before leaving.
Breach of Rules
Any breach of these regulations may result in a warning, removal of the caddie from the course, or disqualification of the player. The committee's decision is final.
Drive, Chip & Putt skills challenge
One format, three skills, every age welcome.
Alongside each tournament, every player can take part in the Drive, Chip & Putt skills challenge, run in the format used by the official Drive, Chip and Putt Championship. It's open to boys and girls, scored separately. Each player hits three shots on each skill (drive, chip and putt), for a total of nine shots.
It's a great entry point for younger players and siblings not yet ready for a full round, and a fun side competition for tour players too.
Boys
Girls
Divisions match the tournament age categories, with boys and girls scored separately. Scoring follows the official Drive, Chip and Putt format: points for distance and accuracy off the tee, chip proximity to the hole and putt proximity, combined for a total score per player.
